Artist Statement
 

My work attempts to explore the dimensions of reality, experiences and imagination, and bridge the gap between fact and fiction. I aim to evoke thoughts and feelings that challenge the norm, and explore the vastness of creativity. Through visuals, locations, sounds and performance, I explore the connections we make to characters on the screen, and the stories we are told.

Narratives guide me, through short films, long form storytelling, or experimental art, I always try to create films that challenge our perspectives on reality, and provide introspective thought to audiences.

My goal as a filmmaker is not only to entertain, but to create lasting experiences with my audiences, provoking thought and feelings. Thank you for coming on this journey with me.

Who am I?

My name is Benjamin Slusarczyk, I am a third year screen arts major, studying at Curtin University. Throughout my degree and beyond, I have had the privilege of directing multiple films. Although my core passion is directing, I have experience in many different facets of filmmaking, including:
